Responsibilities:
• Design and build levels using proprietary Maya-based toolset.
• Work closely with the Design Director, Producer, Level Designers, Environment Artists, Audio Designers, and Programmers to create innovative action and combat experiences.
• Write script to manage game events (LUA script experience highly desirable).
• Ability to hold yourself and the design team to a high standard of quality and respond quickly to feedback.
• Mentor and provide constructive feedback to other Level Designers on the team.
• Organize the Level Designers’ workflows to track to the internal schedule as well as the publisher’s milestone dates.
Requirements:
• Level design experience on at least two shipped action/adventure titles.
• Strong 3D level building and scripting skills.
• Solid familiarity with Maya and plug-ins / editing tools.
• Experience working with artists, programmers, and other designers in a highly collaborative environment.
• Team-oriented approach to game development.
• Ability to provide schedule estimates and hit dates.
• Passion for video games and broad knowledge of titles and mechanics. |
