Position Objective:
To manage and coordinate PETA Asia-Pacific's campaign against KFC by working with animal rights activists throughout Australia. This position is based in Sydney or Manila.

Reports to:
Director

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
    * Coordinate and manage a plan, a timeline, and an agenda for PETA Asia-Pacific's KFC campaign
    * Communicate with activists and members in Australia to encourage them to get active in the campaign
    * Contact activists around the country to organize tabling, demonstrations, and other events to educate the public about KFC's refusal improve animal welfare standards
    * Assist activists with events including demonstrations, help them write news releases, and educate them about the overall importance of the media and how to contact and speak to the media for effective coverage
    * Work with celebrities in Australia to speak out against KFC through the use of ads, videos, and alerts sent from celebrities to their fans
    * Represent PETA Asia-Pacific's KFC campaigns to the media and the general public
    * Travel extensively to conduct demonstrations
    * Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:
    * Previous activist experience required
    * Outgoing and personable manner with exceptional communication skills
    * Previous public-speaking experience required
    * Patience when dealing with activists
    * Proven thorough knowledge of animal rights issues
    * Supportive position vis-à-vis PETA Asia-Pacific's philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA Asia-Pacific's positions on issues
    * Must be willing to travel extensively
    * Commitment to the objectives of the organization
    * Must adhere to a vegetarian lifestyle
