Job Description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under general supervision this position is responsible for checking complex designs, documentation and Engineering Change (EC) packages for compliance with ESI drawing standards, ASME-Y14-100-2000, IPC standards for PC Design, and customer requirements using PRO-E and AutoCAD.
    * Checks documentation of fabricated items, wiring diagrams, schematics, assemblies and weldments to ensure conformance to design documentation and applicable standards and design data supplied by engineering.
    * Verifies form and fit completeness and consistency of dimensioning of drawings.
    * Performs tolerance stack up analysis in support of form and fit of components to assembly.
    * Verifies documentation by correlation to vendor data sheets.
    * Responsible for addition and changes to the Design and Drafting Standards Manuals.
    * Confers with engineering, manufacturing, QC and designers to resolve drawing and design discrepancies.
    * Provides training to improve overall drafting quality and consistency.
    * Reviews material requirements for standardization and conformance to industry specification manuals.
    * Maintain and control PRO-E parts library.
    * Other duties as assigned or required.

MINIMUM/DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
    * Associates degree in a related technical field and five or more years progressively complex experience as an Electrical/Mechanical PRO-E and AutoCAD drawing checker. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
    * Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of PRO-E and PRO-E Wildfire.
    * Must be able to work independently or in a team and work extended hours as required.
    * Knowledge of GTE tolerance a plus.
