Interactive Art Director

We are an interactive creative shop specializing in rich media advertising. We work with some of the world's most recognizable brands and have a solid reputation in the industry. Based out of New York City, and with a satellite office in Los Angeles, we are continuing to expand our team to keep up with increased demand. For 2009 we have a wide range of initiatives and need a skilled and motivated Art Director to help continue our momentum. We are looking for someone who not only has the talent, but the drive to make sure that projects are completed on time and meet high standards of quality.

Responsibilities:

• Work alongside Creative Directors to develop ideas and solutions for clients

• Coordinate with Project Managers and team to implement projects

• Create initial design comps for projects

• Direct, Mentor and Motivate designers and developers to project completion, assuring quality along the way

Requirements:

• 3+ years of industry experience ( Agency preferred )

• Extensive knowledge of Online advertising and Rich Media Ads, including best practices and limitations ( 2+ years experience )

• Exceptional Portfolio showing strong Layout, Design and Typography

• Understands the principles of animation and how to apply them

• Attention to detail and passion for creating pixel perfect designs

• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite

• Strong Flash abilities with intermediate Actionscript knowledge

• Understanding of other Web Technologies and how they interact (html/css, javascript, php, mysql, flash remoting)

• Handle Stress and tight deadlines with smile

• Strong Communication skills

• Self Motivated Self Learner

Additional Desired Abilities (not required):

• Knowledge of casual flash games

• Motion Graphics ability with Adobe After Effects

• Experience with 3D software package

This is a full-time position on location in New York City. Not Freelance or Remote. No Recruiters Please. Salary based on experience. EOE
