Creative Director

Deep Focus is an award winning interactive and design agency, specializing in online marketing for the entertainment industry. Our clients include HBO, Universal Music Group, Fuse and several motion picture film studios. We are looking for a Creative Director to join our fast growing team and lead our website development.

This position is responsible for concept and execution of new innovative online strategies for our entertainment clients as well as ensuring the quality and integrity of our websites from design to development. The ideal candidate will have strong conceptual thinking and the ability to inspire and communicate that vision to the creative team as well as clients. You must have a passion for design, a thorough grasp of Flash animation and programming – along with the ability to balance cutting edge technologies with the realities of execution. You must be a natural problem solver with strong project management skills and also be comfortable working in a fast pace environment. Prior experience in entertainment a huge plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

    * Expertise in designing/developing immersive website environments in Flash


    * A passion for entertainment and new online technologies/functionality


    * Experience managing/mentoring designers and developers as well as the ability to be hands-on


    * Ability to oversee multiple projects from beginning to end, problem solving as necessary 


    * An understanding of website workflow and usability best practices


    * 7 years experience at an interactive or design agency 


    * Proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash (including action-scripting), HTML, XML
